Pneumatic diaphragm pumps
Air-operated double diaphragm pumps are self-priming, dry-running proof positive displacement pumps. The diaphragms are connected by a shaft. The incoming compressed air sets the diaphragms in motion, which displaces volume.
While the medium is being pressurized in one chamber (pressure stroke), the medium flows into the other chamber (suction stroke), and then, due to the alternating movement of the shaft, it is transferred to the pressure chamber.
Air-operated diaphragm pumps (pneumatic diaphragm pumps) are found in all industries due to their simplicity, low purchase price and long service life.
Especially in ATEX (explosion-proof) areas, pneumatic diaphragm pumps are very often the ideal solution.
