Full cone nozzle sprays completely with an droplet distribution. Full cone nozzles are capable of producing larger droplet sizes under the same operating conditions as full cone nozzles, and thus have a greater force on the surface. Therefore, it is used primarily for various washing and cleaning tasks, but also for intensive cooling. An excellent choice for applications where a large surface area needs to be covered.
We recommend the full cone nozzle even for fire protection applications, and this type is also recommended for various chemical processes. In general, the full cone nozzle can be used for stationary targets and objects when neither the target nor the nozzle is moving or moving.
FIELDS OF APPLICATION
Industrial washing / cleaning, surface treatment, tank cooling, dust fixing, coating, gas cleaning, defoaming
Axial full cone nozzle
With the axial nozzle, a medium-fine particle size can be achieved with an even droplet distribution. The full cone spray pattern of the nozzle is created by the swirling element, but this also narrows the cross-section of the nozzle, so the axial full cone nozzle is generally more sensitive to clogging. The possibility of selectable spray angles, volume flows and connections is very wide, in each case we try to select the most suitable type for the given application with the appropriate technical support. The nozzles are supplied in stainless or acid-resistant steel as well as brass.
Tangential full cone nozzle, Multiple hollow nozzle, Spiral nozzle
These full cone nozzle types are less susceptible to clogging due to their design. In the tangential design, there is no swirling element, the liquid enters the nozzle from the side direction and the increased circumferential velocity along the curves creates the full cone spray pattern experienced at the exit. Thus, there is essentially no risk of clogging with the tangential design, but at the same time the average droplet size is much larger than with the axial design.
Due to its helical design, the spiral nozzle has a relatively large cross-section, which makes it suitable for atomizing solids-containing media. Due to this, this type is mostly chosen for different chemical or environmental processes, e.g. flue gas cleaning or gas cooling. Adapting to such extreme operating conditions, the nozzle can even be delivered in very special material qualities, such as e.g. Hastelloy C 276.
With the multiple hollow cone nozzle (shower nozzle) an extra fine droplet size can be achieved, as each hole in the nozzle functions as a separate nozzle, which, as we know, allows the finest atomization. Multiple hollow cone spray pattern, in fact, create a complete full cone coverage over a very large area. One of the main applications of the nozzle type is fire protection, more precisely extinguishing with water mist.
